Žatec, Czech Republic is home to one of the largest, if not the largest, exporters of hops worldwide. Every fall, the town of 19,000 celebrates with the Žatec Hops and Beer Festival.

This week kicked off the beginning of my official Fulbright grant to Czech Republic. For the next ten months, I’ll be living in Hejnice (Northern Bohemia) teaching at a Secondary School focused on agricultural careers.

Prague’s Jewish Ghetto
Today we went on a tour of the Jewish Ghetto of Prague. Learning about the way this sect of Czechs lived their lives was a valuable insight to the Jewish culture and their importance within Czech culture.
